Courtney Van Houzen's fifth match of the season with double-digit kills fueled the fifth-ranked Hope College volleyball team to a 25-21, 25-18, 25-16 win at Alma College on Friday.
The Flying Dutch raised their overall record to 15-2 by winning their eighth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association match in nine tries.
Van Houzen, pictured, finished with a match-high 13 kills. The senior middle blocker from Traverse City, Michigan (West HS) recorded a kill percentage of .500.
Senior outside hitter Sarah Feldpausch of White Cloud, Michigan (White Cloud) chipped in nine kills for Hope.
Junior setter Sophia Hackett of Indianapolis, Indiana (Brebeuf Jesuit) totaled 28 assists.
Senior Alexis Thompson of Monroe, Michigan (St. Mary Catholic Central) led the Flying Dutch with 14 digs.
Hope returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 12 with a 6:30 p.m. match against Olivet at DeVos Fieldhouse.
