Down two points late in the second set, the Hope College volleyball team needed to take momentum back from Alma College.
The 20th-ranked Flying Dutch reeled off four consecutive kills and six of the next eight points to take the set and be on their way to a 25-17, 25-23, 25-16 win Tuesday at DeVos Fieldhouse.
Hope won for the third consecutive time to improve to 9-4 overall and 5-0 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.
Senior middle hitter Paige Baker of Encinitas, California (La Costa Canyon HS) topped 11 kills at .476 clip. She also served three aces.
Junior outside hitter Katie Rietberg of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) also hit well. She had nine kills at .583 clip.
Senior outside hitter Haley Muller of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian) added 10 kills.
Senior setter Sophie Hackett of Indianapolis, Indiana (Brebeuf Jesuit Prep) totaled 32 assists and 11 digs.
