The Hope College women's cross country team traveled north Friday and placed seventh out of 20 teams at the Muskegon Community College Invitational with 197 points.
Sophomore Brooke Truszkowski of Traverse City, Michigan (T.C. Central HS) crossed the finish line first for the Flying Dutch.
Truszkowski, pictured, the Flying Dutch with a run of 20 minutes, 4.41 seconds and took 48th out of taking first for Hope and 48th overall.
Freshman Lauryn Thompson of Traverse City, Michigan (T.C. Central finished 55th by clocking in at 20:22.83.
Junior Emily Jackson of Grayling, Michigan (Grayling) timed in at 20:53.11 for 63rd place.
Senior Alicia Bostwick of Zionsville, Indiana (Zionsville Community) came in 67th with a run of 21:00.01.
Freshman Avery Conely from Brighton, Michigan (Brighton) crossed the finish line at 21:22.74 for 73rd and the Flying Dutch's final points.
Senior Mackenzie Schmidt of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake HS) finished 75th with a time of 21:33.64.
Sophomore Katelyn DeWitt of Holland, Michigan (Holland Christian) took 80th overall, timing in at 21:48.68.
Hope's next race is Saturday at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational.
