Why did you choose to attend Hope College? Undergraduate research opportunities, strong science program, Christian atmosphere, the chance to run on a college team, snow!

What were your favorite subjects in high school? Biology, Genetics, and Chemistry

Name a role model or models who have impacted your life? My teammate Alissa Frazee, who graduated last year. She helped and continues to help me have courage to let my faith direct every aspect of my life. She's also a strong, motivated, tons-of-fun running buddy and a dear friend.

If you have chosen a major, please explain how you plan to use it after graduation. I want to obtain a PhD and pursue a career as a medical researcher.

List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you. "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Your every act should be done with love." - 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

What is your favorite memory from a community service project you’ve been involved at Hope? I loved tackling yard work with fellow Hope Catholics club members during a Habitat for Humanity build. We met a friendly cat from the house next door and made a great deal of progress on the yard, all while having tons of fun.

What is your favorite pregame meal or snack? Granola bar

What is your favorite pre-game music? The soundtracks to Hamilton and The Greatest Showman

If you could play another sport, regardless of skill, what would it be? Archery, because then I could be like Legolas.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received? Approach life like a steeplechase race... running full speed towards your obstacles and launching yourself fearlessly over them. You may end up scraped, bruised, dazed, and sopping wet afterwards, but you get back up and you keep on going. It's a lifestyle.
