The Hope ice hockey team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday with a 3-0 defeat to Oakland at Edge Ice Arena.

The Flying Dutchmen fell to 3-1 on the season.

Senior goalie Drew Cook of Columbus, Ohio, (Upper Arlington HS) recorded 33 saves for Hope.

The Flying Dutchmen return to action next weekend with a two-game series against Adrian Gold. They play at Adrian on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. and host Adrian on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 8:10 p.m. at Edge Ice Arena.
