Chris Van Timmeren has guided the Hope's ice hockey program for 14 years.
The 2012-13 Flying Dutchmen posted a 29-6-1 overall record. Van Timmeren has led Hope to 12 consecutive winning seasons. He has an overall record of 301-89-12 for a .763 winning percentage.
Since becoming head coach, Van Timmeren has taken the Flying Dutchmen to the ACHA Division 3 National Tournament in the 12 years that they have been eligible. The streak is the longest in Division 3.
Van Timmeren has been voted Michigan Collegiate Hockey Association Coach of the Year five times, most recently in 2011-12 He was also named the ACHA Coach of the Year in 2006-2007
and 2007-08.
Van Timmeren also takes great pride in his team's 96 percent graduation rate during his tenure.
Van Timmeren is the hockey director at Edge Ice Arena, Hope's home.
