The Hope College ice hockey team skated to a 4-4 tie at unbeaten Oakland on Friday in American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 action.
The Flying Dutchmen (8-1-1 overall) rallied from a two-goal deficit over the final four minutes against Oakland (13-0-1).
Senior Rob Calvert of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS), scored with 29 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the score 4-4.
It was Calvert's second goal of the game. He also recorded two assists.
Freshman Cam Wiederhoeft of Scipio, Indiana (Jennings County HS), pulled Hope within one goal 3 ½ minutes earlier.
Goalie Eric Lipon of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), made 34 saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
Senior Caleb Morgan of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City Central HS), chipped in his team-leading 10th goal of the season for Hope.
The Flying Dutchmen hosts Oakland on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Edge Ice Arena.
