The Hope College ice hockey team opens the weeklong American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 national tournament today in Coral Springs, Fla.
This is the 13th consecutive appearance at nationals for coach Chris VanTimmeren's Flying Dutchmen, the most of any ACHA member.
Hope plays Colorado State at 1:30 p.m. today in the first three pool-play games. The Flying Dutchmen enter the five-day tournament with a 25-4-2-1 record.

On Wednesday, March 12, Hope will skate against Florida Gulf Coast at 4:30 p.m. On Thursday, March 13, the Flying Dutchmen faces Pittsburgh-Johnstown at 7 p.m. The top team in the pool advances to the national semifinals on Friday, March 14, with games at noon and 3 p.m.
The championship game is Saturday, March 15, at 2:30 p.m. The third-place game is 10:30 a.m. that day.
Hope has advanced to the championship game of the ACHA Division III national tournament three times. The Flying Dutchmen finished second in 2003, 2010 and 2011.
