Freshman forward Evan Augustine of Maple Grove, Minnesota (Maple Grove HS) collected three goals and two assists for the Hope College ice hockey team during a 13-0 win against Lake Superior State on Saturday at Georgetown Ice Arena in Georgetown Township.
The Flying Dutchmen (2-0) swept the season-opening, weekend series in American Collegiate Hockey Association play. They won 11-2 on Friday at Edge Ice Arena.
Junior forward Andrew Settecerri of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Lahser HS), and freshman defenseman Caleb Wortz of Okemos, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS), each totaled four assists apiece for Hope.
Sophomore forward Garrett Gormley of Fenton, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic HS), senior forward Brandon Flood of Mason, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS), and senior forward Brandon Richardson each chipped in two-goal games for the Flying Dutchmen, who scored four goals during the first period and nine during the second.
Hope returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 15 at the Schupan Memorial Tournament in Midland.
