Four first-period goals powered the Hope College ice hockey team to a 7-1 win against Robert Morris on Friday at the Schupan Memorial Tournament in Midland.
The Flying Dutchmen (4-0 overall) won for the second time in two days.
Sophomore forward Garrett Gormley of Fenton, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic HS), led six different scorers for Hope with two goals.
Senior forward Brandon Flood of Mason, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS), sophomore forward Evan Fall of Royal Oak, Michigan (Royal Oak HS), freshman forward Cole DeVos of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian HS), and freshman defenseman Caleb Wortz of Okemos, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS), each chipped in one goal and one assist apiece.
Hope wraps up the tournament on Saturday, Oct. 17 against Colorado State at 3:05 p.m.
