The Hope College ice hockey team is off to a 9-0 start after fending off Michigan-Flint for a 5-4 win on Saturday in Burton, Michigan.
Junior defenseman Elliott Digison of Midland, Michigan (Midland HS) scored twice to lead the Flying Dutchmen, including the final goal of the game.
Hope also received goals from freshman Riley Draper of Muskegon, Michigan (Reeths-Puffer HS), sophomore Evan Fall of Royal Oak, Michigan (Royal Oak HS) and freshman Caleb Wortz of Okemos, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS). Fall also had an assist.
The Flying Dutchmen swept the two-game series after winning 6-1 on Friday.
Hope returns to action on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6-7 with a weekend series against Oakland.
