Box Score The Hope College women's basketball team fell to unbeaten St. Thomas, Minnesota, 55-47 in the sectional semifinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Friday in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
Hope closed the 2014-15 season with a 25-5 record.
Senior Brittany Berry of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Catholic Central HS) led the Flying Dutch with 14 points and five assists, including 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.
Senior Rebekah Llorens of Grayslake, Illinois (Central HS), recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Junior Autumn Anderson of Dorr, Michigan (Wayland HS), added 10 points.
The Flying Dutch rallied after a season-low, 13-point first half and trailed by nine. St. Thomas (30-0) pushed its lead to as many as 19 points after halftime, but Hope could not cut its deficit below eight points.
The Flying Dutch shot 27.9 percent from the field for the game (17-of-61).
Llorens concluded her career 14th on Hope's all-time leading scorers with 975 points.
Berry ended her career with a school-record 230 3-pointers and this season with a school-record 85 3-pointers.
Berry finished her career with 288 assists — sixth-most at Hope. She had 111 this season assists, good for sixth all-time.
Junior Maura McAfee of Midland, Michigan (Midland HS), totaled four points and seven rebounds.
McAfee netted a career-high 431 points this season, tying for fifth in a single-season in Hope history with Carrie Snikkers (2008-09).
McAfee grabbed a school-record 312 rebounds this season.
Hope's 482 assists this season are the fourth-highest total in school history. The Flying Dutch's average of 16.1 assists per game is the second-highest in team history.
