 The Hope College men's golf team is four strokes out of first place after the first day of play of the Irish Hills Invitational hosted by Adrian College.
The Flying Dutchmen stand in fourth place overall after shooting a team total of 301 at the Lenawee Country Club. The field features 10 teams with Kenyon College (Ohio) leading with a 297. 
Jack Guerrera, pictured, fired an even-par round of 71. The freshman from Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central tied for second place individually.
Sophomore Logan DeWitt (Zeeland, Michigan/Holland Christian) was the next lowest Flying Dutchman with a round of 74, tying him for sixth place. He was followed by junior Seth Almquist (Minneapolis, Minnesota/ Wayzata) who carded a 77; freshman Will Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois/Lake Forest) who recorded a 79; and, freshman Ben Jackson (Fort Wayne, Indiana/Carroll) who shot an 80.
Hope returns to second-round action of the two-day event at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18.
