Men's Golf Tops Field at MIAA Jamboree for a Third Time

Junior Will Robson fired an even-par 72 at Tecumseh Golf Club to lead the Hope College men's golf team to a third MIAA Jamboree victory this fall.

Robson shared medalist honors for the round and helped the Flying Dutchmen post a winning score of 302. 

Hope finished two strokes ahead of runner-up Trine University and five ahead of third place and jamboree host Adrian College.

The Flying Dutchmen extended their lead in the overall standings to 19 strokes over Trine after 54 holes.

Robson (East Grand Rapids, Michigan / East Grand Rapids) shared medalist honors with Trine's Mark Civanich.

Senior Seth Almquist (Minneapolis, Minnesota / Wayzata) and freshman Patrick Michael (Carmel, Indiana / Carmel) each chipped in 76s and tied for fourth place individually.

Freshman Liam Casey (Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central) carded a 78 for the Flying Dutchmen.

Hope also received 79s from sophomore Will Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois / Lake Forest) and senior Jack Crawford (Carmel, Indiana), who was playing as an individual.

The Flying Dutchmen's next round is Monday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at Kalamazoo Country Club.
