Women's Basketball National Championship Team to be Honored on Saturday

The 2021-22 Hope College women's basketball team will be honored during a postgame ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 21, at DeVos Fieldhouse.

Following the 3 p.m. game vs. Alma College, the Flying Dutch's third national championship banner in the DeVos Fieldhouse rafters will be unveiled.

Members of Hope College's 1989-90 and 2005-06 national championship women's basketball teams are scheduled to join the on-court celebration.

During halftime, members of the 1989-90 team will receive championship rings for their season.

The Flying Dutch finished the 2021-22 season with a 32-1 record after defeating the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 71-58, in the NCAA Division III Championship game in Pittsburgh.

Tickets can be purchased at the doors. DeVos Fieldhouse will open at 2 p.m. The previously scheduled women's junior varsity game has been canceled.

After the ceremony, the Hope men's basketball team will host Alma College.
