Sophomore Madison Stern Clocks Top Women's Cross Country Time at Augustana Interregional

Sophomore Madison Stern led a group of nine Hope College women's cross country runners who raced at the Augustana College (Ill.) Interregional Invitational on Saturday.

Stern (Saline, Michigan / Saline HS) clocked a 6K time of 23 minutes, 44.5 seconds at Saukie Golf Course and placed 89th out of 355 runners.

Senior Emily Scott (Naperville, Illinois / Naperville Central) recorded a 110th-place run of 23:57.0.

Senior Katie Cole (Batavia, Illinois / Batavia) took 157th at 24:24.7.

Junior Kennedy Kuhlmann (Grand Blanc, Michigan / Grand Blanc Community) finished 166th at 24:29.1.

Sophomore Ellie Coderre (Lisle, Illinois / Naperville North) capped Hope's scoring after placing 183rd at 24:27.2.

The Flying Dutch finished 23rd out of 42 teams with 631 points.

Hope's next meet is the MIAA Championships on Saturday, Oct. 28, at noon at Three Fires Golf Club in Holland.
