ACHA Hockey Boston-Bound in Bid for National Title Three-Peat

The Hope College ice hockey team is the top seed for this week's American Collegiate Hockey Association Division III Tournament near Boston.

The Flying Dutchmen, who are seeking a third consecutive ACHA national title, open with three pool play games at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts, beginning on Thursday, March 16.

All games in the tournament can be streamed hockeytv.com via pay-per-view.

On Thursday, Hope (29-1) will skate against 16th-seeded Central Michigan University (14-12-2-1) at 8 p.m. The two teams did not meet this season. They belong to different divisions in the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference.

On Friday, March 17, at 5 p.m. the Flying Dutchmen will face the ninth-seeded United States Air Force Academy (19-1-1-1).

On Saturday, March 18, at 8 p.m., Hope will play the eighth-seeded University of Missouri (18-5-1).

The team with the best pool-play record will advance to next week's national semifinals on Monday, March 20.  

The national title game is on Tuesday, March 21.

Led by head coach Chris Van Timmeren, the Flying Dutchmen are seeking their fourth ACHA national championship in program history. 

Hope previously won in 2022, 2021 and 2018. 

The Flying Dutchmen have finished national runner-up four times as well.
