Ellie Coderre Leads Women's Cross Country at Knight Invitational

Three Hope College women's cross country runners recorded sub-20-minute times during the Calvin University Knights Invitational on Friday at South Christian High School in Byron Center.

Sophomore Ellie Coderre (Lisle, Illinois / Naperville North HS) topped the Flying Dutch at the six-team, 5K event by clocking a 13th-place run of 19 minutes, 54 seconds.

Freshman Stella Farmer (Brighton, Michigan / Brighton) crossed the finish line right after Coderre in 14th place at 19:55.

Freshman Grace Baldauff (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania / Northgate) finished in the lead pack for Hope in 17th place at 19:57.

Hope finished fourth out of six teams with 101 points. Calvin's Jenna Allman won the race in 18:20.

Four more Flying Dutch runners finished in under 21 minutes.

Freshman Katie Fischer (Adrian, Michigan / Adrian) recorded a time of 20.38.

Freshman Becca Scott (Naperville, Illinois / Naperville Central) posted a run of 20.40.

Freshman Lucy James (LaGrange Park, Illinois / Willows Academy) clocked a time of 20:54.

Freshman Payton Ball (Mason, Michigan / Mason) went 20;57.

No. 14-ranked Hope runs again on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
