Men's Golf Shoots 304 to Start Carthage Firebirds Classic

The Hope College men's golf team shot a 304 at Ives Grove Golf Links in Yorkville, Wis., and sits in ninth place at the 16-team, two-day Carthage College Firebirds Fall Classic.

At 16-over-par, the Flying Dutchmen will start the final round at Strawberry Creek Golf Club in Kenosha, Wis., on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 9 a.m. Central.

Sophomore Will Thomas (Portage, Mich. / Portage Central HS) carded a 3-over-par 75 to lead the Orange and Blue.

Junior Hank Roebuck (Ann Arbor, Mich. / Skyline) and freshman Kody Vis (Spring Lake, Mich. / Spring Lake) chipped in 76s.

Senior Liam Casey (Northville, Mich. / Detroit Catholic Central) shot a 77.

Freshman Joey Blondia (Richland, Mich. / Gull Lake) posted a 79.

Senior Klay Redman (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Coffman) had an 80.
