Three Earn MIAA Athlete of the Week Accolades

Hope College diver Finn Sanders, linebacker Nolan Vis and golfer Eli Voisard have been selected as MIAA Athletes of the Week for the first time.

Sanders claimed MIAA Men's Diver of the Week accolades. Vis is the MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week in football. Voisard is the MIAA Men's Golfer of the Week.

Sanders (Wyoming, Michigan / Grandville) captured MIAA weekly honors for the first time this season and the third time in his career. The sophomore biochemistry and molecular biology major swept both boards at the MIAA Invite on Saturday, with 260.95 points on the 1- and 3-meter board.

Vis (Hudsonville, Michigan / Unity Christian) keyed the ninth-ranked Flying Dutch's 38-3 win at Alma College, where they held the Scots to a season-low three points and their second-fewest total yards gained, 205. The sophomore recorded a career-high and team-best 12 tackles, including seven solos and a career-high 3 ½ tackles for loss.

Voisard (Tipp City, Ohio / Tippecanoe) shot a career-low, 2-under-par 70 at Wuskowhan Players Club during last week's MIAA Jamboree. The sophomore carded four birdies while leading the Flying Dutch to a second-place finish.
