Three Hope College men's tennis standouts have been selected for the 2026 Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team for NCAA Division III, selected by the College Sports Communicators organization: juniors Ned Curley and Cooper Nugent, and sophomore Karsten Patel.
Eligible nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition.
The trio helped the Flying Dutchmen advance to the MIAA Tournament championship match for the second consecutive season and the seventh time in eight seasons.
This is Nugent's second Academic All-District honor. The German and exercise science major from Rochester Hills, Michigan (Rochester Adams) claimed All-MIAA First Team recognition in back-to-back seasons, finishing with a 17-9 doubles record and an 11-11 mark in singles.
Curley also claimed Academic All-District distinction for the second time. The business major from Plymouth, Michigan (Detroit Catholic Central) received his second All-MIAA Second Team selection this season and went 10-7 in singles matches and 13-7 in doubles.
Patel is a first-time Academic All-District recipient. The psychology major from Birmingham, Michigan (Seaholm) was an All-MIAA Second Team honoree this season, going 10-10 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles.
