Hope College

Grace Shinske joined the Hope College women's and men's swimming and diving coaching staff for the 2021-22 seasons.

The native of St. Clair, Michigan, was a nine-time Horizon League champion swimmer at Oakland University: five individual events and four relays.  As a freshman, Shinske was selected as the Horizon League Newcomer of the year during the 2016-17 season and was the first Oakland woman to accomplish the feat.

In high school, Shinske sawm to the MHSAA Division 3 state title in the 100-yard backstroke for St. Clair.

Shinske served as a graduated assistant coach at Oakland during the 2020-21 season.

Shinske earned her degree in physical anthropology from Oakland in 2020. She is working on her master's degree in higher education administration.
