Biography

Why Hope I was drawn to the welcoming and upbeat community! What's not to love?

Memorable community service moment Volunteering with the softball team at Miracle League is always a powerful experience. It allows me to recognize the privilege I have to be able to play softball at the level that I do, and it reminds me how important it is to keep the joy in the game.

Favorite place on campus Cook Hall! I have lived in Cook Hall the majority of my time at Hope College, and it really is a home away from home.

Pre-game music Anything by Aaron Carter.

If you could do another sport Gymnastics. I am blown away by the physical abilities of gymnasts!

Best advice received Every new school year since Kindergarten, my dad has given me two tasks for the year: 1) Make a new friend; 2) Make an impact on your school. Now, I take on that challenge in every new thing that I do. It has taught me to never settle and has helped me realize how important every person and every experience is in my life.
