Austin Randel

Austin Randel joined Hope College Women’s Basketball as a junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach prior to the 2021-22 season.

Randel brings six seasons of women’s basketball collegiate coaching experience to the Flying Dutch, including four seasons over two stints at NAIA Aquinas College and two seasons at Calvin University. He was named interim head coach at Calvin during the 2018-19 season.

Randel played collegiately at NCAA Division II North Greenville University in Greenville, S.C., for two seasons, then played Ferris State University for two seasons. He reached the 1,000-point mark for his college career. He also played two seasons semi-professionally for the Grand Rapids Cyclones.

Randel also currently works as a Head Coach for Michigan Basketball Academies Women’s 2023 and 2026 national teams as well as their Women’s Basketball Player Development Director.
