GET TO KNOW
Why did you choose to attend Hope College? I choose to attend Hope College because I enjoyed how similar the campus was to my hometown (Traverse City, MI). I also was very impressed by the professors and faculty in the Kinesiology department that I was introduced to on admitted student day in the spring.
List a favorite Bible verse and why it is meaningful to you. Hebrews 12: 1-3 is a bible verse I often try to focus on while I am competing because it helps comfort me knowing god wants me to persevere. To have faith in god will help me gain confidence to finish the race or obstacle set before me.
Where is your favorite place on campus? Why? Phelps hall because there is food.
What is your favorite pre-game music? I enjoy listening to rap music before my races.
If you could play another sport, regardless of skill, what would it be and why? Football because I think it is fun to watch, and it's competitive and entertaining.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received? God has a plan for me, and everything in life happens for a reason to get me where I am supposed to go.
