Hope linebacker Cody Lindemulder is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Week in football.

The junior from Mulliken (Lake Odessa Lakewood HS) made nine tackles, including six solo stops, intercepted two passes and forced a fumble in the Flying Dutchmen's 43-23 MIAA road win at Alma.

Lindemulder is second on Hope with 58 tackles this season, including 32 solos. He shared the team lead with three interceptions and 2 ½ sacks. 

Lindemulder is being honored as Player of the Week for the second time this season and in his career.
