The Hope volleyball team swept its 17th opponent of the season on Saturday, beating visiting Olivet College 25-10, 25-8, 25-13 during homecoming.

The second-ranked Flying Dutch improved to 18-1 overall as they pushed their win streak to six matches. They remained in second place in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings after raising their league record to 9-1.

Junior outside hitter Jenna Grasmeyer of Jenison (Hudsonville Unity Christian HS) led Hope with 10 kills and a.562 kill percentage.

Two Flying Dutch players added eight kills apiece — senior Mari Schoolmaster of Portage (Portage Central HS) on a .500 kill percentage and junior hitter Amy VanderStoep of Holland (West Ottawa HS) on a .316 kill percentage.

Freshman libero Alexis Thompson of Monroe (St. Mary Catholic Central) topped Hope with 11 digs, while sophomore setter Lauren Hazekamp of Fruitport (Fruitport HS) added a match-high 29 assists and 10 digs.
