Hope Ninth In d3hoops.com Women's Basketball Preseason Poll

The Hope women's basketball team sits ninth in the D3Hoops.com Preseason Poll announced today.

Coach Brian Morehouse's Flying Dutch received 371 points in the 15th annual NCAA Division III rankings.

Reigning national champion DePauw (Ind.) topped the poll with 617 points and 20 of the 25 possible first-place votes.

DePauw led a group that included in the Top 10 — Washington University in St. Louis in second, Christopher Newport in third, Wisconsin-Whitewater in fourth, St. Thomas in fifth, Montclair State in sixth, Amherst in seventh, Thomas More in eighth and Tufts in 10th. Washington landed three first-place votes, while Christopher Newport garnered two.

Earlier this week, Hope debuted fourth in the USA Today Women's Basketball Coaches Association preseason poll. 

The Flying Dutch tip off the season on Nov. 15-16 when they play at a two-day tournament at North Central College near Chicago.
