It might be difficult to believe, but the Hope and Calvin women's basketball teams renew their rivalry already this week.

The Flying Dutch travel to Grand Rapids on Tuesday to play their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival in the league opener for both teams.

Hope is off to a 2-0 start after winning the Chicago Marriott Naperville Tip-off Tuesday last weekend at North Central College, while Calvin is 1-0 and winning at Lakeland (Wis.) 65-45 on Saturday.

Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Calvin.

The Flying Dutch won two of three meetings last season, including the MIAA Tournament championship game. They trail the all-time series 66-40.
