Jason Muller's second multi-goal game in a row lifted the Hope men's soccer team past host Kalamazoo 4-1 on Saturday.

The senior from Petoskey (Petoskey HS) helped the Flying Dutchmen clinch home-field advantage for the semifinals of next week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament. It was Muller's fifth multi-goal game of the season.

Hope (14-4-1, 10-3 MIAA) is in second place in the league standings. The Flying Dutchmen trail Calvin by one game with one match remaining at Alma on Tuesday.

Muller scored with 27 seconds remaining in the first half to extend Hope's lead to 2-0. It came from 18 yards off an assist from junior forward Brandon Underwood of Grand Rapids (Forest Hills Eastern HS).

The Flying Dutchmen scored twice in a span of 2 minutes, 50 seconds. Freshman forward Josh Hagene of Caledonia (East Kentwood HS) headed in his fifth goal of the season in the 42^nd minute.

Muller answered Kalamazoo's goal 1:14 into the second half with an unassisted goal 1:49 later. He now has a team-leading 15 goals this season.

Underwood added his second goal of the second in the 84^th minute off an assist from senior midfielder Matthew VanZytveld of Grand Haven (Grand Haven HS).

Sophomore goalie Ethan Beswick of Grand Haven (Grand Haven HS) made five saves for Hope. 

The Flying Dutchmen are on a three-match win streak.
