Two first-half goals propelled the Hope women's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Kalamazoo on Saturday.

The Flying Dutch set up a showdown at Calvin on Monday that will decide the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular-season champion.

Hope (15-2-1 overall, 12-3, MIAA) will take a seven-match win streak into Monday's 3 p.m. rematch at Calvin. The Flying Dutch's last loss came in a 2-1 defeat to the Knights on Oct. 5.

Against Kalamazoo, senior forward Raisa Yewah of East Lansing (Okemos HS) struck 3 minutes, 13 seconds into the game to stake the Flying Dutch to a 1-0 lead. Her team-leading 10th goal of the season came on an assist from junior defender Maria DeShaw of Holland (West Ottawa HS).

Sophomore Kristin Hazlett of Bay Village, Ohio, (Bay HS) netted her third goal of the season. Junior midfielder Lindsey Bieri of Holland (Holland Christian HS) had the assist.

Junior goalie Kat Dickson of Grayslake, Ill., (Grayslake Central HS) made three saves for Hope's fifth consecutive shutout and ninth this season.

The Flying Dutch are one win from matching the 2003 school record for single-season wins.
