Box Score The Hope women's soccer team lost at Calvin 1-0 on Monday in a match that determined the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular-season champion.
The Flying Dutch (15-3-1 overall) had their seven-match win streak ended. They finished MIAA play with a 12-3-1 mark and will be the third seed for the MIAA Tournament.
The MIAA Tournament semifinals are Thursday. Hope plays at second-seeded Alma Thursday at a time to be determined. Fourth-Seeded Adrian heads to Calvin for the other semifinals. Winners meet at the highest remaining seed on Saturday.
Against Calvin, Hope goalie Kat Dickson of Grayslake, Ill. (Grayslake Central HS) made four saves in 90 minutes of play.
The Knights (16-2-2 overall) scored in 29th minute.
Hope outshot Calvin by a 7-5 margin.
