The inaugural Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) all-conference women's lacrosse team included three players from Hope.
The Flying Dutch put on the All-MIAA First Team junior midfielder Katie Sabourin, pictured center, of Flint (Powers Catholic HS) and sophomore defender Molly Greenfield of Georgetown, Tex. Senior attack Maddie Ferguson of Seattle, Wash. (Seattle Prep HS) made the second team.
Introduced at Hope as a varsity sport in 2013, the Flying Dutch finished third in the regular season standings of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and advanced to the NCAA qualifying conference tournament.
The Flying Dutch finished strong with a five-game win streak. Hope finished with a 6-9 overall record and were 4-2 in the MIAA.
