Five Facts To Know About Flying Dutch Basketball

Kristin Carlson, Bria Ebels and Carrie Snikkers are some of the standouts that have helped forge the winning tradition for Hope women's basketball. Here are five facts about the Flying Dutch.

Number of times the Flying Dutch have had a NCAA Division III All-American. Carrie Snikkers leads the prestigious group, being honored three times as a first teamer between 2009-11 seasons. Other All-Americans are first teamers Jordyn Boles in 2008, fourth teamer Bria Ebels in 2006, first teamers Amanda Kerkstra in 2003 and third teamer Kristin Carlson in 1995.

Number of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships the Flying Dutch won, including a share in the 2012-13 season for their fifth championship in six seasons.

Number of wins for the Flying Dutch at DeVos Fieldhouse in 128 games since it opened in the 2005-06 seasons. That's a .977 winning percentage. Hope has gone undefeated there during a season five times — 14-0 in 2005-06, 18-0 in 2007-08, 17-0 in 2008-00, 20-0 in 2009-10 and 17-0 in 2012-13.
