The nationally ranked Hope women's basketball team resumes Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play on Saturday when it travels to Angola, Ind., to play Trine. Tipoff is 3 p.m.
Hope is 11-0 on the season and 3-0 in the MIAA.
Sophomore forward Maura McAfee of Midland (Midland HS) tops the Flying Dutch in scoring at 14.2 points per game.
Saturday will be Hope's first game since winning the RDV Sportsplex D3 Classic on Dec. 21 in Orlando, Fla.
Trine comes in with a 3-8 record and an 0-2 mark in league play.
The Thunder are averaging a league-low 55 points per game but rank second in the MIAA in team defense giving up 63.5 points per game.
Trine's offense is centered around three players averaging double figures — 5-9 forward Alivia Recker at 11.5 points per game, 5-6 guard Kelsey Henselmeier at 11.3 points per game and 5-10 forward Amy Newell at 10.5 points per game.
