Box Score Allie Wittenbach's goal with 15 minutes, 18 seconds remaining lifted the Hope College women's soccer team to a 1-0 win at Adrian on Friday.
The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association-leading Flying Dutch improved to 10-3 overall and 9-1 in league play. It is Hope's fourth consecutive double-digit win season.
Wittenbach scored when she deflected a corner kick in front of the Adrian goal. The freshman from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central HS), now has five goals on the season.
Senior Maria DeShaw of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS), had the assist.
The Flying Dutch dominated play, outshooting Adrian (6-6-2, 4-5-1) by a 10-1 margin.
Senior goalie Kat Dickson of Grayslake, Illinois (Grayslake Central HS), made one save for Hope.
The Flying Dutch have won three games in a row and ninth of their past 10 games.
Hope's next game is Tuesday, Oct. 14, against Trine at Van Andel Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is 5 p.m. It is youth poster giveaway night.
