The top-ranked Hope College volleyball team served a 25-9, 25-19, 25-19 win at Olivet on Tuesday.

The Flying Dutch raised their record to 23-0 overall and 11-0 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play. It is the best start in school history.

Senior Jenna Grasmeyer of Jenison, Michigan (Hudsonville Unity Christian HS), recorded a match-high 11 kills against Olivet (5-16, 1-11 MIAA). Grasmeyer is pictured at right.

Sophomore Madison Mertz of Frankenmuth, Michigan (Frankenmuth HS), chipped in eight blocks and five kills.

Junior Allie Mitchell of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS), totaled 13 digs.

Junior Lauren Hazekamp of Fruitport, Michigan (Fruitport HS), contributed 22 assists, seven kills, three services aces and two blocks.

Hope returns to action on Friday, Oct. 17, when the Flying Dutch host Albion for a 6:30 p.m. homecoming match on the DeVos Fieldhouse Main Court.
