The No. 1-ranked unbeaten Hope College volleyball team earned its 25th win of the season on Saturday with a four-set win at Trine.
The Flying Dutch rebounded from a first-set loss to win 23-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-23 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.
Senior Anna Lynch of Lake Odessa, Michigan (Lakewood HS), totaled a team-high 12 kills against Trine (20-4, 9-4 MIAA). Lynch is pictured at right.
Hope held onto to sole possession of first place in the MIAA by improving its league record to 13-0.
Seniors Jenna Grasmeyer of Jenison, Michigan (Hudsonville Unity Christian HS), and Amy VanderStoep of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS), chipped in nine kills apiece.
Junior Allie Mitchell of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS), recorded 27 digs.
Junior Lauren Hazekamp of Fruitport, Michigan (Fruitport HS), finished with 34 assists.
