Josh Hagene scored two goals for the Hope College men's soccer team during a 3-2 overtime loss at Albion on Tuesday.
The sophomore from Caledonia, Michigan (East Kentwood HS), leads the Flying Dutchmen with nine goals on the season.
Hagene scored unassisted 4 ½ minutes into the second half to give Hope a 1-0 lead.
Hagene struck again unassisted with 13:16 remaining in regulation to snap a 1-1 tie.

Albion, however, scored with 1:59 remaining to send the game in overtime. The Britons won on Kyle Alsheskie's third goal of the game and 12th of the season with 27 seconds remaining in the first overtime.
Hope fell to 12-5 overall on the season and 7-4 in the MIAA. The Flying Dutchmen slipped into third place in the league standings — one point behind Kalamazoo.
Albion is now 6-10 overall and 4-7 in MIAA action.
