A goal 2 minutes, 31 seconds into overtime handed the Hope College men's soccer team a 1-0 loss at Kalamazoo on Saturday.

The Flying Dutchmen (13-6-1 overall) finished third in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings with an 8-5-1 record.

Hope will be the third seed for next week's MIAA Tournament. The Flying Dutchmen will play at Kalamazoo (11-6-2) on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at a time to be determined.

Fourth-seeded Alma (8-7-3) plays at regular-season champion Calvin (17-2) in the other semifinal. Winners meet on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the site of the highest remaining seed.

Junior goalie Ethan Beswick of Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), made nine saves against Kalamazoo.
