Flying Dutchmen Lose Tennis Matches to Luther, Ohio Northern

The Hope College men's tennis team lost its first two dual matches of the season on Saturday at DeWitt Tennis Center.

The Flying Dutchmen fell to Luther (Iowa) 8-1, then Ohio Northern 6-3 during the Hope College/Kalamazoo College Shootout.

Against Ohio Northern, junior Jonathan Panzer of Rockford (Rockford HS) delivered two points for Hope. He won his No. 3 doubles match with partner Sam Kreps 9-7 while also defeating Sam Prewitt at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-1.  

Freshman Camden Ludlow of Petoskey (Petoskey HS) got his first collegiate singles victory at Hope by defeating J.T. Rapaport at No. 6 singles by a score of 6-3, 6-4.

Against Luther, junior Trevor Brogan of East Lansing (East Lansing HS) claimed Hope's point by outlasting Isaiah Mayerchak 6-3, 2-6, 10-4 at No. 4 singles.
