Box Score 2 The Hope College men's tennis team fell to Hobart (N.Y.) 5-4 and Grinnell (Iowa) 8-1 on Wednesday in Orlando, Fla.
Against Hobart, the Flying Dutchmen lost a marathon match under the lights. They won two doubles matches, including Parker Bussies and Matthew Culver 8-6 at No. 1 against Michael Fields and Matt DePrima. At No. 3 doubles, Jonathan Panzer and Sam Kreps defeated Ben Robinson and Luke DeLucia 8-3.
In singles, Panzer defeated Jake Criss 2-6, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 and Culver outlasted Danny Kot 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.
For the decisive point, Fields outlasted Bussies at No. 1 singles 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
