Flying Dutchmen Top Albion in Men's Tennis, Move Up MIAA Standings

The Hope College men's tennis team recorded its fourth consecutive win on Wednesday, defeating Albion College 6-3 on the road.

The Flying Dutchmen (6-10 overall) moved into a third-place tie in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings with Alma College.

Both Hope and Alma are 2-2 in league play with two matches remaining. The top four teams advance to the MIAA Tournament.

Junior T.J. Brogan of East Lansing (East Lansing HS) and senior Colin McKey of Stevensville (Lakeshore HS) both won a doubles match and singles matches for the Flying Dutchmen.

Brogan and McKey teamed together at No. 2 doubles to beat Albion's Ross Kynast and Will Pearl 8-2. 

Brogan topped Kynast at No. 3 singles 7-2, 7-6 (4), while McKey defeated David Richter at No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-2.
