The Hope College men's tennis team defeated Calvin College 7-2 on Tuesday to clinch a berth in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association National Qualifying Tournament.

The Flying Dutchmen improved their record to 8-10 overall and 4-2 in the league play. They tied Adrian College for second place.

Three Hope players won both a doubles and a singles match — senior Colin McKey of Stevensville (Lakeshore HS), junior TJ Brogan of East Lansing (East Lansing HS), and junior Cody Herbruck of Grand Rapids (Forest Hills Central HS).

The semifinals of the MIAA's national qualifier are Thursday, May 1 at a site to be determined.
