Hope coach Steve Gorno is proud of the resiliency his team has shown this season.
"We talked all year that we're going to win matches because of our effort, our focus, our intensity, our teamwork and our chemistry. Those are intangibles that win matches like this," Gorno said. "To see this team fight through the early-season struggles, finish second and now have the opportunity to play Kalamazoo for a chance to go to the NCAA Tournament, as a coach, it doesn't get any better.
"They believed in themselves. They believed in the mission we set for ourselves at the beginning of the season. They made it a reality."
