Hope College senior Taylor Brynaert has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Offensive Player of the Week in football for games played through September 21.
The receiver from Washington, Michigan (Romeo HS), caught 10 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score with 2 minutes, 18 seconds, remaining, to lead Hope to a 25-22 win at Lakeland (Wisconsin) on Saturday, Sept. 20. Brynaert had touchdown catches of 9 and 3 yards.
Brynaert is being honored as MIAA Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
Hope returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Albion in the MIAA opener for both teams. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
