Hope College's Alcor Chapter of Mortar Board is partnering with the Wes Leonard Heart Team in a Heart Health Awareness event during today's women's basketball game against Olivet.

Tipoff is 3 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.

The Wes Leonard Heart Team is a non-profit organization that raises awareness for sudden cardiac arrest. 

Their mission is to pursue an avenue that ensures every facility running organized youth athletic events have automated external defibrillators available, universally labeled and maintained and to have a designated, qualified individual responsible for the AED on sight during all planned events.

All proceeds from donations at today's event will be going to the Wes Leonard Heart Team.

Donations can be made at the event table near the main entrance next to the ticket office. Donations of $5 or more will receive a free heart health awareness T-shirt.
