Hope Women's Lacrosse Claims Exhibition Win Against WMU

Sophomore Dana Kym of Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville HS), scored five times to lead the Hope College women's lacrosse team to an 18-5 win over Western Michigan University's club team on Saturday at Van Andel Stadium.

Junior Linnea Ridlen of Western Springs, Illinois (Lyons Township HS), added four goals for the Flying Dutch in their home debut.

Seniors Makenzie Bortell of Montague, Michigan (Montague HS), and Molly Greenfield of Georgetown, Texas (Georgetown HS), both netted two goals against WMU.

Freshman goalie Michaela Biegner of Hillsdale, Michigan (Hillsdale HS), made four saves for Hope.

The Flying Dutch return to action on Wednesday with their MIAA opener at Saint Mary's. Start time is 5 p.m.
