A pair of two-goal scorers were not enough for the Hope College men's lacrosse team in a 12-8 loss at Olivet on Tuesday.

Sophomore Gunnar Elder of East Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS), and freshman Mike Odea of Naples, Florida (Barron Collier HS), both scored twice for the Flying Dutchmen.

Hope dropped to 4-8 overall and 1-2 in MIAA play.

The Flying Dutchmen could not overcome a 5-2 first-period deficit against Olivet (5-8, 3-2 MIAA). 

Hope returns to action on Friday at Alma for a 7 p.m. match.
