The purpose of the NCAA Division III Special Olympics Partnership is to improve the lives of Special Olympics athletes through their involvement with Division III student-athletes and to foster a mutual learning experience between Division III student-athletes and Special Olympics athletes.
The Flying Dutch basketball team has been active with the local Special Olympics chapter for several years. They held their annual skills clinic in January and hosted a 12-team, 120 player basketball tournament in February for local Special Olympic athletes.
